I can’t believe, the tiny baby I brought from hospital is already six months old today. His tiny toes, his tiny hands and fingers, his little face everything seems to have grown, he already seems a little bit, off course in the tiny world :).
And I am only left wondering where the last six months have gone by. They say in motherhood the days may seem longer but the months shorter and I can’t agree more. It seems the already fast paced life is now flying at a fastening speed.
I am loving every moment of this. Let me record few things about Bunny baby here as a six months completion mark.
This baby wakes up happy and smiling :). And always in a playful mood in the morning. I am assuming that he won’t be a breakfast person because he mostly doesn’t nurses right after waking up. If he wakes up crying I take it as a cue that he wants to sleep more and make him do that.
He learnt to smile at a very early stage. And somehow he picked up the habit of smiling at anyone and everyone who smiles at him. So even if he is crying, cranky, hungry and you happen to smile at him, he will throw a big smile amidst his tears :).
He has some internal clock fixed in his head, he naps exactly for 30 minutes or 45 minutes by the clock, 3-4 times a day. Very rarely like now in winters if he would see me near him, he would sleep for some more minutes.
He loves red flickering lights or red lights in general. Like the TV light when it’s off, the little light in chargers, the red digits in elevators and lifts.
He loves outings. Seeing other children makes him super happy. He is a complete entertainer.
He has a good hand grip from very early stage. This is very surprising because TBH has a habit of holding hands in a very particular way, putting some pressure on thumb, he got this in his childhood as he used to sleep holding his dad’s hand. We decided not to try this with Bunny and teach him this, tBh claimed that he will automatically pick up. And guess what he turned right, whenever Bunny gets a chance to hold anybody hands he also puts some pressure on his thumb.
He loves his massage and bath routine, malish aise karwata hai jaise kahi ka nawab ho. You can keep massaging him for hours and he won’t get irritated. Also head oil message. And he would smile as soon as you splash some water on his bumps and back. I am just waiting for his first summers to make him play in some water.
Everybody says he has beautiful eyes. Big and a very different color. I hope they remain the same color.
He loves all colourful stuff, balloons, wind chimes and bells :).
He needs to be sung to sleep. And he knows the so called sleep songs specially sung by his dadi. So if she is rocking him, she has to song the same song and if by chance she hymns a different one, he would keep calling hu hu, unless she starts the same song.
He would always smile if you make sounds like ki ki ki and ta (from tongue and upper pallete).
We just started some solids yesterday. Today was day two. And he is taking it very nicely, we are in no rush too.
